Announcement of Business Skills Training Program in Jordan - 6/18/2002

"I would like to take the opportunity, and in the presence of Her Majesty Queen Rania with us here today, to announce that plans are already underway to organize a Business Skills Training Program for business and professional women in Jordan. This Program is with the support and encouragement of Her Majesty.

Women in Business International is pleased to be working with a Jordanian organization to organize--in the Fall of this year--a two-day training program for businesswomen from across the Kingdom. The business and management skills training will target start-ups and microfinance projects, as well as existing businesses owned or managed by women.

This, we hope, will contribute to the ongoing development of businesswomen in Jordan.

On behalf of us all at Women in Business we would like to thank Her Majesty for her inspiration in helping us to bring this Program to Jordan."
