Business skills programme comes to Dubai - 10/4/2004

Women in Business International and HSBC Republic have teamed together to organise a series of Business Skills programmes for women entrepreneurs in the Arab World. The first Workshop will take place in Dubai at the HSBC headquarters on 3rd April.

The Business Skills Programme aims to assist women in developing their entrepreneurship and leadership expertise. Arising out of the successful Women in Business in the Arab World Conference due to take place in London on 6-7th June, the Programme is free to invitees.

Sir David Gore-Booth (Special Adviser to the Group Chairman of HSBC Holdings) commenting on the Programme says, “ HSBC is proud of its record in the Middle East and proud to be associated with this Programme”

Ahmed Suleiman of Women in Business International says, “The strength of the support from business women for the Women in Business in the Arab World Conference is based on the strong sense of networking of business resources and sharing of business expertise between Arab and UK businesswomen. The Programme is an extension of these principles”

The Programme will bring to the Arab World expertise from Britain in leadership, management, marketing and business strategies. Guest Speaker at the Dubai Programme will be Angela Peacock Head of Management Development for The People Development Team; who will be visiting the Gulf for the first time.

The initiative is supported by the British Government. Richard Parry Head of Trade Partner’s UK’s Middle East Unit, says “ we are happy to support the Business Skills Programme, we feel that it is an ideal forum to promote a networking of skills and expertise between the UK and the Arab World . Dubai is the ideal place in which to launch the Programme”.
