The UCL Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Institute for Women’s Health
INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE - 4/7/2008
Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, London
The first international conference on women’s health in business is to be held in London this spring.
An elite 250 leading women in business will be the first to learn about the ground-breaking advances in women’s health and future international health business trends.
World experts in Fertility, Ageing, Genetics, Cancer Screening, Stress Management, Futurology and Nutrition will hold interactive sessions designed to make vital life-saving information easily accessible.
Time is precious and the conference joint Chairs UCL’s Professor Ian Jacobs and Stargate Capital’s Herta von Stiegel, have designed the day to empower women to take control of their health. Participants will discover this is as easy as making a few, small but effective proven lifestyle changes.
Herta von Stiegel said: “We spend our working lives planning our business and taking the future into account. It is just as important to do the same with our health. It’s surprising how much more effective we can be if our health and the health of our employees is at optimum performance. Women can’t afford to miss the opportunity of investing in this conference.”
By attending, each business woman will make possible the attendance of three medical professionals at a parallel scientific conference. Businesswomen will also be able to learn about some of the crises facing less fortunate women in the developing world and how they can help.
Delegates will be in good company with speakers including:
• Baroness Ruth Rendell, Best-selling “Queen of Crime” writer – who is a campaigner against Female Genital Mutilation
• Professor Jane Plant – on her innovative anti-cancer diet – which helped her fight off cancer
• Marisa Peer – Psychotherapist and Hypnotist featured on Celebrity Fit Club, gives tips on Executive Eating on the go – how to stay at optimum performance and keep off excess pounds – without dieting.
• Stress release experts will give practical tips and exercises on how to reduce your personal stress levels and how to create healthy harmonious working environments.
• Dr Sarah Harper – Director of the Oxford Institute for Ageing will reveal the latest evidence about women and ageing.
